Bilal, preeminent vocalist and songwriter was nominated for Best Urban/Alternative Performance for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards for “Little One” from his third studio album, Airtight’s Revenge, which was released September 14 through Plug Research Music and Distributed by The Orchard.
“Little One”, a smooth track with a soulful sound is dedicated to his sons. “My youngest son has Sickle Cell and my oldest son has Autisim. This song is for them”, stated Bilal. An advocate for Autism, last month Bilal led the 2010 Walk Now for Autism Speaks on the National Mall. The largest crowd ever assembled in our nation’s capital for autism walked from the Capitol Building to the Washington Monument and raised over $750,000 for research, awareness, family services, and advocacy.
